My Sao Paulo Parks Experience
Sao Paulo Parks

During my many visits to
São Paulo
I was fortunately able to visit all of the parks mentioned. São Paulo is known as the city that never sleeps, but once you are inside the boundaries of the park, things change. The atmosphere goes from fast and furious, to calm and relaxing. São Paulo is an amazing city that seems to offer something for everyone. Since these parks are free to enter, it's a nice way to spend a day without having to spend a lot of money.

Ibirapuera Park
is extremely beautiful, especially when the fountain is on over the lake. I was sitting under a tree for an hour, just enjoying the sights and watching all of the people roller-blading, jogging, walking, etc. During my second visit to Ibirapuera, it was a Sunday and I was able to watch a concert with Ivete Sangalo, a famous Brazilian singer. It was a really hot sunny day, so while the show was on the people who work at the park had a huge hose they used to cool off spectators. It was so nice to listen to the Brazilian music, to see the Brazilian culture and enjoy an unforgettable experience.
Carmo Park
is also an amazing place. This park wasn’t quite as crowded as Ibirapuera Park, but it was still very busy with people, especially since there was a beach soccer tournament happening at the time. After the game I attended a barbecue, and relaxed while watching the sunset from the park.
Villa-Lobos Park
was also quite gorgeous. I was amazed with the huge area covered with beautiful flowers and a forest of tall trees. It's such a treat to get away from the noise and pollution of the streets and enter this park where everything is so calm and quiet.

Sao Paulo is located in the south-eastern corner of Brazil, in the state of Sao Paulo. This great city is particularly famous for Paulista Avenue; its magnificent churches, museums, and cultural events; its soccer teams; and the São Paulo Carnival.
