The Sambodromo is a (half-mile) long straight stretch of road used exclusively for carnival paraders. This road has rows of bleachers on one side and very expensive VIP boxes on the other. Over 60,000 people attend this event during the carnival in
Rio.

During the carnival in Rio de Janeiro it's along this road where they have the
samba dance school competitions.
The Brazilian samba schools in Rio de Janeiro have over one hour to parade from the beginning to the end of the Sambodromo.
