Sugar Loaf Mountain
Sugar Loaf Mountain is one of the more spectacular tourist attractions in
Rio de Janeiro.
The two mountains of Sugar Loaf are located between
Guanabara Bay and
Copacabana beach
in Rio de Janeiro.
If you're comfortable with heights, two sets of cable cars can be taken to the top of Sugar Loaf. The first set of cable cars departs from Avenida Pasteur in the Red Beach district (Praia Vermelha) bringing passenger to the top of Urca Mountain. From Urca Mountain a second set of cable cars brings passengers to the top of Sugar Loaf.

The view from the peak of Sugar Loaf, 1,296 ft (395m) above sea-level, is breathtaking. Don't forget to bring along your camera and binoculars, you'll certainly want to snap a few pictures of the amazing view.
Viewing the sunset from the top of Sugar Load Mountain is strikingly beautiful and highly recommended.
