The city of Búzios is well known for it's natural beauty and pristine beaches, and just off the coast the snorkeling and scuba diving is very popular.

The community, and district, of Angra dos Reis is one of majestic beauty. It's a popular destination for boaters because of its 365 islands and 2000 or so beaches.

Ilha Grande, the largest of the islands in the Angra dos Reis, is slowly getting discovered by tourists. Once home to a prison, this largely untouched piece of paradise is a relaxing reprieve from the hustle and bustle of Rio.

Cabo Frio is largely a beach bum's paradise. Two of Cabo Frio's most famous beaches are Strong Beach and Angry Beach, both are great for sunbathing, surfing, and partying!

Petrópolis, or the Imperial City, is nestled in the mountains north of Rio. Here there are beautiful Royal residences and museums to visit. It also provides for a nice escape from Rio's hot and humid weather.
