Brasilia Political Buildings
Brazilian Government
Since
Brasilia
is the
Capital of Brazil,
there are many political buildings throughout the city. The names of the buildings are The
National Congress,
Plateau Palace
(Palácio do Planalto),
Dawn Palace
(Palácio da Alvorada),
and
Square of the Three Powers
(Praca dos Tres Poderes).
Each building has a special function in running the Brazilian Government. Oscar Niemeyer, a very famous Brazilian architect, designed many of the political buildings. If you're lucky some days you may even see Luis Inacio Lula da Silva, the current president (2005) of Brazil at one of these buildings.
