One of Oscar Niemeyers marvelous designs, the National Congress was designed specifically as a government building. It's a 28 story building built in the shape an H, representing a person standing up. Currently it houses the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies.

At the time of writing the hours of operation are from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm from Monday to Friday, and 9:00 am to 12:00 pm Saturday and 2:00 pm to 5:30 pm on Sunday. Every hour there's a tour guide explaining the interior of the building to its visitors.
