Brasilia Leisure

Recreational Opportunities

Brasilia, the capital of Brazil, is not only a city for business and politics, it also offers its visitors amazing leisure and recreational opportunities.

In Brasilia the locals are referred to as “Brasilienses,” and Brasilienses are very proud of their modern city. While Brasilia is definitely known for its modern architecture, Brasilienses are adamant there is more to do in their city than simply enjoy the architecture - and they're right!

Brasilia enjoys many leisure and recreational amenities. You can regularly see Brasilienses enjoying their many beautiful parks, such as the Brasilia National Park or Botanical Gardens, or even enjoying various water sports on Paranoá Lake. During the evening and on into the wee hours of the morning many locals and tourists enjoy Brasilia's nightlife at the many bars, clubs, and restaurants located throughout the city. Alternatively, if you're into shopping, Brasilia has many large shopping malls waiting to be discovered, which get especially busy on Saturday evenings – they're the place to be!

When Sunday rolls around, especially in afternoon, the feirinha at the Television Tower is packed with locals and visitors buying, bartering and selling all sort of interesting items.
