São Paulo Subway

With a population of 18 million people, São Paulo is an extremely large and busy city - especially during the weekdays. To the relief of tourists and residents alike the city has an effective subway network. This network connects the majority of the city with 5 main subway routes and 46 stations.

Using the subway is very easy and saves passengers a lot of time and frustration. Driving in São Paulo can be frustrating, as traffic jams are common. When using the subway network it's important to check when the last train of the day is, because it's different for every route. Generally the subway operates between 4:40 am and 12:30 am, but again - it's different for every route.

Personally I found the São Paulo subway to be very useful during my visit. I didn't enjoy driving in São Paulo because of the horrible congestion. Instead the subway offered a faster, less frustrating, and more efficient alternative. I was able to get anywhere in the city whenever I wanted. Sao Paulo Subway
