Frescobol
Brazilian Beach Game
Frescobol is a game consisting of 2 paddles and a rubber ball. The objective of the game is to work with your partner to keep the ball from hitting the ground. The better you and your partner get, the faster you can hit the ball back and forth.
On really hot days this is a fun game to play this in the ocean. Standing knee deep in the water makes this game perfect for the beach.
We've also learned from a visitor to Cities in Brazil that Frescobol was invented at Copacabana beach in the 1950's - thank you Marcel for this interesting bit of history.
