Once you buy your ticket you have to use it that day. You can't buy tickets in advance, but you can easily get them the day your interested in going. The tickets are sold 10 minutes before the first cable car leaves Red Beach.
The cable car departs from Avenida Pasteur in the district of Praia Vermelha, a 10 minute taxi ride from
Copacabana.
