Brasilia has a vibrant nightlife, with great movie theaters and nightclubs. No matter what kind of entertainment you're looking for you're sure to find something that suits your mood and style.

If you are interested in having a fun night where you can feel the beat of the Brazilian culture, Frei Caneca is the place to be. This club offers you a large dance floor, a bar serving different kinds of Brazilian drinks, and also an outside patio where you can have a good time. Music such as MPB (Popular Music of Brazil) and Forró, are the two musical styles played all night long at this bar. The crowd is composed of people from late 20's up to 40 years old. This place is always crowded, so it would be better if you visit the bar from Monday through Wednesday around 9:00 pm. Any other days and it can get pretty expensive.

This place looks like a British pub on the outside but once you're inside, you can tell that you're still in Brazil. Forró is a really popular dance among Brazilians. The experience that I had dancing forró was absolutely amazing! Every Thursdays it's Forró's night at Gate's Pub. Any other day you can experience other genres of music, all the while surrounded by the beautiful crowd that frequents the pub. At the time of writing Gate's pub is open 8:00 pm to 2:00 am Monday, and 9:00 pm to 4:00 am Tuesday through Sunday.

Armazem do Bras is the place to be. This restaurant offers a delicious Brazilian buffet from Saturday to Wednesday for the price of R$30 per kg, or $4.50 USD per pound ($10 per kg). If you would like to try some Italian specialties, Armazem do Bras will serve you with a wide variety of food cooked in the same special way as the traditional Italian Food Restaurants in the city of
Sao Paulo.
Armazem do Bras also provides tasty appetizers that can be appreciated with great international wines or beers from Italy, Germany and many other locations around the world. If you're more interested in a mellow night, this is the place to be. The crowd is definitely not composed of teenagers and the MPB (Popular Music of Brazil) played here makes you relax. The owner of Otherllo's Piano Bar is from
Rio de Janeiro;
this gives the bar an authentic Rio de Janeiro vibe. The bar is open 6:00 pm to 2:00 am Tuesday through Sunday.
